¨Like¨ And ¨Share¨ The NNA On Facebook And Help Us Raise $100,000 To Fight Breast Cancer

Association’s Charitable Arm Will Contribute $1 To The City Of Hope Breast Cancer Research Program For Every Person That “Likes” And “Shares” Its Facebook Page

For the past decade, the nationwide community of Notaries has joined with the National Notary Association’s charitable arm — the National Notary Foundation — to fight the ongoing battle against breast cancer. This Mother’s Day, the NNA is taking that battle to a new level by pledging to donate $1 for breast cancer research for every person that “likes” and “shares” the NNA’s Facebook page. The Foundation seeks to generate up to $100,000 to fight the deadly disease.

“Notaries are dedicated to serving the public, and over the years they have also proven to be a powerful benevolent force,” said NNA President and CEO Tom Heymann. “Through this campaign we’re inviting Notaries — and those interested in notarization issues — to help us generate the NNF’s largest donation ever to the City of Hope to raise awareness of the disease and bring people together to find more effective treatments.”

The campaign runs between April 26 and Mother’s Day (May 13). The NNF is not asking for any monetary donations, just a simple “like” and “share” of the National Notary Association’s Facebook page. The NNF’s donation will rise in tandem with the number of people who join its Facebook community. All proceeds will be delivered directly to the City of Hope, the nation’s leading cancer research institute.

We encourage people to help make a difference by spreading the word and joining a community dedicated to fighting this deadly disease. Everyone who “likes” the NNA also will get to participate in the conversation on the important, consumer protection role of notarizations with members of the nation’s largest professional Association for Notaries.
